CSCA — the Clinical Sciences Competency Assessment — and IMAT, the International Medical Admissions Test, are open now. UCAT and further sittings join the MESS catalogue in the following terms; join the waiting list to be notified first.

Do I need to be a Hippo IMP student to sit a mock?

No. MESS is open to any candidate. Many students sit a mock first and only later engage us for the wider admissions work.

How closely does the mock match the real exam?

Full length, official-style timing, the same permitted materials, invigilated throughout, and marked against the live scoring scale. The intention is that the real sitting feels like a repeat, not a first attempt.

How many mocks should I sit?

One is a measurement; a series is preparation. Most candidates sit their first mock four to six months out and then repeat roughly monthly, using each diagnostic to redirect the next block of study.
